President's Address

It warms my heart to address you all as the President of the El Rio Spartans Football and Cheer program. For those who may not know me, I am Alfredo Garcia Jr., and my roots run deep in the soil of El Rio. This isn't just where I live, it's where I grew up: walking the halls of El Rio Elementary, Rio Del Valle Jr. High, and proudly graduating from Rio Mesa High School in the class of 2000.

My siblings and I all share the same Spartan Pride, a testament to the strong foundation this community provides. Now, as a husband and father to three wonderful children - Axton, Addison, and Ace - my connection to El Rio has only grown stronger. Seeing my two boys, Axton and Ace, now prouldy wearing the Spartan colors on the football field fills me with an immense sense of joy and continuity.

Representing almost 300 young athletes is an honor that words can hardly express. This isn't just about football and cheer; it's about fostering teamwork, building character, and instilling the values that this community has always stood for. El Rio isn't just a place on a map; it's a family, and to have the opportunity to contribute to the lives of these young Spartans in this way is truly humbling.

I am incredibly proud to be a part of their journey and to serve this community that means so much to me and my family.
